Routine Care
To maintain the pristine condition of your Marazzi countertop, follow these cleaning guidelines. Start by using a microfiber cloth to remove dust from the surface. If necessary, clean your Marazzi countertop daily. Wash it with warm water and a manufacturer-recommended dose of detergent, avoiding products containing hydrofluoric acid and its derivatives.
Rinse with warm water and dry using a cloth or similar material. In case of spills, it is crucial to immediately dry them. Prompt cleaning and drying make stain removal easier. Avoid using waxes, oily soaps, impregnating agents, or hydro-oil repellents as they are unnecessary for Marazzi. Some detergents available in the market contain waxes or polishing additives that may leave an oily film on the surface of Marazzi after multiple washes.
Knives & Edges
Special Caution for Ceramic Knives: Please note that ceramic knives have the potential to scratch the surface of Marazzi, regardless of its finish, just like they can scratch other surfaces within the same product category or other categories.
Edges: Marazzi is a remarkably durable material. However, it is important to exercise caution around the edges of a Marazzi countertop, as with any product in the sintered category, to prevent heavy impacts that may lead to chipping.
TIP Do not hit your Marazzi countertop with a blunt and heavy objects. It could chip or even break (the edges are the most sensitive to physical damage).
TIP During treatment, closely examine the spot. If the spot is still there, but is lighter or reduced, you know the treatment is working. Keep applying until the stain is completely gone.
Cleaning Stains
Certain substances may not be effectively removed through standard cleaning methods, requiring specific procedures based on their nature. The duration for which the substance remains on the surface is crucial, and it is recommended to clean the area promptly. By doing so, the substance is prevented from drying out, facilitating easier removal.
Acid: Acidic cleaning products: descalers, cement removers…Alkaline: Basic cleaning products: ammonia, degreasers…Solvent: Universal solvent, thinner, turpentine, acetone, alcohol...Oxidant: Diluted hydrogen peroxide or bleach.
